Welcome to The Gopher Goddess!

Got holes? Got mounds? Got a lawn that looks like a golf course designed by a lunatic?

You've come to the right place. My name is Taylor, and I have been trapping pocket gophers and moles for over a decade. I do it the way it has always been done right: on foot, by hand, with real traps, checking every single one myself. No poison, no gas, no "smart" gadgets, no call center. When you call, you get me.

Why trapping beats everything else

  • Poison can hurt your dogs, cats, owls, and hawks. Trapping doesn't.
  • Sonic spikes & repellents annoy you more than the gopher.
  • Flooding just gives them a bath.
  • Trapping is the only method where you actually KNOW the gopher is gone. Because I show you.

Services

Pocket Gopher Trapping

The main event. I locate the active tunnels, set traps in the runs, and come back to check and reset until the yard is quiet. Most residential yards are cleared in 3 to 7 days.

Mole Trapping

Moles are a different animal (literally). They make raised surface ridges, not mounds. Different traps, different placement. I handle those too.

Yard Inspection & ID

Not sure if it's a gopher, mole, vole, or ground squirrel? I'll come out, tell you exactly what you've got, and what it'll take to get rid of it. Honest answer, every time.

Monthly Maintenance Plans

For HOAs, horse properties, farms, orchards, athletic fields, and anybody who borders open fields or greenspace. I come out on a schedule so they never get established.

Mound Cleanup & Tunnel Collapse

After the critters are gone, I'll knock down mounds and pack the main runs so the next gopher thinks twice.

What I DON'T do: poison baits, gas cartridges, propane blasting, or anything that could hurt your pets or the hawks and owls that are on my side. Period.

Meet Taylor, the Gopher Goddess

People started calling me "the Gopher Goddess" as a joke after I cleared out a yard that three other companies had given up on. The name stuck. I'm fine with it.

I learned to read a tunnel the hard way, on a property where the gophers were winning. Years later I turned it into a business because it turns out most people would rather not crawl around their yard with a probe rod. I would.

I'm a one woman operation. I answer my own phone, set my own traps, and check my own work. I don't use an app, a chatbot, or a robot to talk to you, and I never will.

Taylor's Rules

  1. If I can't catch it, you don't pay for it.
  2. No poison. Ever. I like dogs and owls more than I like gophers.
  3. I'll tell you the truth, even if it's "you've got voles, not gophers, and that's a different problem."
  4. I show up when I say I will.

"Give me a probe rod and a bucket of traps and leave me alone for an afternoon." ~ Taylor

Gopher FAQ

Q: Is it a gopher or a mole?
A: Gophers push up fan shaped mounds with a plugged hole off to one side. Moles make round volcano mounds and long raised ridges you can feel under your feet. Moles eat bugs and worms. Gophers eat your plants. Either way, call me.

Q: How many gophers do I have?
A: Usually one or two. One gopher can make a dozen mounds a day, so it looks like an army. It isn't.

Q: Will they come back?
A: Once the ones you have are gone, new ones can move in from the neighbors or the nearest greenspace. That's what the maintenance plan is for.

Q: Can't I just flood the hole / use gum / put a car exhaust down there?
A: You can try. I'll see you in two weeks.

Q: Is trapping safe for my dog?
A: Yes. Traps go down in the tunnel, below ground, and I mark every location. I'll walk you through where they are.

Q: Do you kill them or relocate them?
A: I'll be honest with you: trapping is lethal. Relocated gophers almost never survive and it's not legal most places anyway. It's quick and it's the most humane effective option there is.

Q: Do you use any kind of app or computer thing?
A: Nope. A phone, a truck, and traps.
